Matt Hall

Owner/Musher

Born: May 21, 1991  Hometown: Eagle, AK

Matt started Smokin' Ace Kennels back in 2008 in pursuit of becoming a professional musher competing in the International Sled Dog Race, the Yukon Quest.  Hall is the long distance musher of the kennel and competes in highly competitive races around Alaska, including the Yukon Quest 1,000 and the Copper Basin 300.  Matt makes the kennel go 'round, by hauling water, chopping wood, cutting meat snacks, fixing and building everything that is needed for the off-grid 40-acre homestead--He's a jack of all trades.  Click below to learn more about this born & raised Alaskan Musher.

Born: July 3, 1985  Hometown: MDI, ME

Amanda started working at Smokin' Ace Kennels in 2014.  She came to Alaska in pursuit of the "The Dream" of running sled dogs and exploring the vast wilderness & wildlife of the Last Frontier.  Brooks spends her time training the yearlings of the kennel and races them non-competitively in mid-distance races around Alaska.  She manages the social media pages and enjoys researching Canine Sports Medicine and implementing Sled Dog Race Diet & Nutrition into their feeding program.
